The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan met with the Head of the UNICEF Office in Turkmenistan

On June 4, 2024, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Head of the UNICEF Office in Turkmenistan Mohammad Fayazi.

During the meeting, the Minister thanked and congratulated M.Fayazi on the successful completion of his mission as the Head of the UNICEF Office in Turkmenistan and wished him successful, fruitful work in the future.

The diplomats, having discussed current issues and promising vectors for the further development of long-term cooperation, noted with satisfaction the high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN Children's Fund.

In addition, the parties considered the implementation of the UNICEF Country Programme for Turkmenistan for 2021-2025, the priority areas of which are governance in the interests of children, child health, nutrition and early development, social protection of children and high-quality inclusive education. The importance of the activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care in providing medical services to children in need of health restoration was noted.

At the end of the meeting, M.Fayazi expressed gratitude for the support provided over all these years in the successful work of the diplomatic mission he heads.
