Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman accredited in Turkmenistan

On December 5, 2024, upon the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Chairwoman of the Mejlis (Parliament) D. Gulmanova received credentials from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Turkmenistan Saif Bin Rashid Bin Saif Aljahwari.

On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, the Head of the National Parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to the responsible post, wishing him success in the responsible mission to strengthen friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

Thanking for the hospitality, Ambassador Saif Bin Rashid Bin Saif Aljahwari conveyed warm greetings and best wishes on behalf of the leadership of the Sultanate of Oman to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, under whose wise leadership independent and neutral Turkmenistan is successfully implementing progressive policy.

Special emphasis was made on the importance of constructive initiatives of Turkmenistan to strengthen peace, stability and well-being in the global dimension.

During the meeting, Ambassador of Oman was informed about the multifaceted work and structure of the Mejlis, including the comprehensive modernization of the national legal framework.

The diplomat emphasized the interest of the Sultanate of Oman in intensifying partnership with Turkmenistan in various areas, including political-diplomatic, trade-economic, as well as cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The sides emphasized readiness to expand inter-parliamentary ties, which serve as an important factor in strengthening bilateral relations. Confidence was expressed that the Turkmen-Omani cooperation has good prospects for development.
