Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia accredited in Turkmenistan
On December 9, 2024, upon the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Chairwoman of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova accepted credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to Turkmenistan Jaap Ora.
On behalf of the head of state, the head of the national parliament congratulated the guest on his appointment to a high diplomatic post, wishing him success in strengthening the ties of friendship between the two peoples and intensifying cooperation between Turkmenistan and Estonia.
Having thanked him for the kind words of encouragement, the Ambassador conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on behalf of the leadership of the Republic of Estonia and assured that he would use his diplomatic experience and knowledge to build up Turkmen-Estonian cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.
During the conversation, plenipotentiary representative Jaap Ora was introduced to the priorities of Turkmenistan's domestic and foreign policy, the most important vector of which is the establishment of broad international cooperation in the interests of peace, global security and universal well-being.
During the meeting, which was held in a businesslike, constructive manner, a thorough exchange of views took place on a wide range of issues of long-term productive partnership, initially built from the standpoint of equality and mutual benefit.
The diplomat was also introduced to the structure and legislative activities of the Turkmen parliament.
Noting his country's interest in intensifying interaction with independent neutral Turkmenistan in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian other spheres, Jaap Ora assured of his readiness to promote the comprehensive deepening of traditionally friendly bilateral relations.
