Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan met with Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan

On May 31, 2025, a meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, who arrived on a visit to Ashgabat.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of cooperation issues in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, energy, as well as transport-communication spheres.

The interlocutors emphasized the constructive nature of the multifaceted time proven Turkmen-Pakistani ties and highlighted the current high level of interstate dialogue due to the political will of the leadership of two countries.

The sides reaffirmed the importance of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Pakistan within international structures and the significance of inter-parliamentary interaction mechanisms.

The issues related to the construction of the transnational gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India and other key aspects of the bilateral agenda were thoroughly discussed during the meeting.
