Strengthening interparliamentary dialogue between Turkmenistan and Georgia

On October 21, 2025, a meeting took place in the Parliament of Georgia between the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili.

The sides discussed the development of interparliamentary cooperation, which is an important factor in strengthening friendly relations between the two countries, as well as expanding a fruitful partnership in all vectors in accordance with common interests.

Noting the special place of parliamentary diplomacy in foreign policy, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan emphasized that parliamentary cooperation plays a vital role in further active development of bilateral relations. He also emphasized that political ties between Turkmenistan and Georgia have reached a qualitatively new level and are characterized by high dynamism.

The parties reaffirmed their readiness to further strengthen relations based on the principles of equality and mutual respect, promoting strategic partnership and cooperation for the benefit of peoples of both countries.
