The 15th Annual Meeting of Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Central Asian Countries was held
On November 28, 2025, the 15th Meeting of Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Central Asian countries was held in Almaty. It was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the assistance of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA).
The meeting was attended by Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Central Asian countries, representatives of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, the UN Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, as well as UNRCCA.
The Turkmen delegation was represented by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan B.Rejepov. In his address, the Ambassador noted that Turkmenistan actively participates in international initiatives aimed at strengthening security, sustainable development, and regional cooperation. He emphasized that Turkmenistan’s actions are based on the principles of permanent neutrality, recognized at the international level and enshrined in the resolutions of the UN General Assembly.
During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues on the regional and international agendas and reviewed prospects for developing regional cooperation in Central Asia. Specific areas of regional cooperation were discussed, including trade and economics, transport and logistics routes, water, energy, and climate issues.
There was also an exchange of views on events and trends affecting peace and security in Central Asia. In this context, it was emphasized that such meetings play a crucial role, allowing timely responses to emerging risks and adapting joint actions to new challenges.
