SPECIAL MEETING WAS HELD AT THE MEJLIS OF TURKMENISTAN ENTITLED «HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL VALUES THAT UNITE THE NATIONS» DEDICATED TO THE 300TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTHDAY OF MAGTYMGULY FRAGI.

A special conference entitled «Historical and cultural values ​​that unite nations» was held by organizing by the Mejlis of Turkmenistan dedicated to the famous 300th Anniversary of Fragi and its cultural heritage of the great thinker and poet of the East, the founder of Turkmen classical literature Magtymguly Fragi, was announced by an international organization of Turkic culture, TURKSOY as the «Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World Magtymguly Fragi», on June 22 of the «Fount of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi» year.

Representatives of the Parliaments of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Iran, as well as the Director of the Regional Office of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Almaty, the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for UNESCO Affairs of Turkmenistan, TURKSOY Secretary General attended to the session.

He said that on the occasion of the 300th Anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, various shiny ceremonies are held in the Republic of Tajikistan, a general secondary school named after Magtymguly is being built in Dusti district of Khatlon province, and he said that this proves that the humanitarian relations between our countries reached to a new level.

In her speech, Nasiba Sodiki, head of the Committee on Science, Education, Culture and Youth Policy of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan emphasized the great importance of historical and cultural values ​​in bringing people together in today's world. Emphasizing that planned activities are being carried out at the state level to restore and modernize the cultural values ​​of the Turkmen people in Turkmenistan, and that the literary heritage of the sage and poet Magtymguly Fragi has a special place in this field, she recited several verses from Magtymguly Fragi's poems.
