On 22 November 2025, the event “Neutrality and Humanism: Comprehensive Support for an Inclusive Future” was held in Ashgabat to mark World Children’s Day.

During the forum, participants discussed issues related to the development of the younger generation in our country as a priority area of state policy, the strengthening of international cooperation in this field, and the adoption of best global practices.

Participants also visited a large-scale exhibition featuring departments of the Ministries of Health and Medical Industry, Education, and Labour and Social Protection of the Population. The exhibition showcased Turkmenistan’s progress in various areas and the successful work carried out by the relevant ministries.

At the subsequent forum, Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice President for Medical Activities of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, delivered remarks.

She stressed that comprehensive support for children’s development in Turkmenistan is a worthy contribution to a bright future. O.Atabayeva highlighted that supporting the younger generation is defined as the main objective of the Charity Fund named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. In this regard, the consistent support of the President of Turkmenistan, as well as the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag, plays a positive role in advancing humanitarian principles.

Emphasizing that the Fund’s cooperation with national and international organizations takes into account the interests of all children, O.Atabayeva stated that today’s event dedicated to World Children’s Day consistently promotes every child’s right to sports, education, and self-expression.

The event continued with remarks by the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan, Dmitry Shlapachenko, who expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and the Hero-Arkadag, as well as to the Turkmen side, for ensuring the high-level organization of the World Children’s Day event.

It was emphasized that matters related to the protection of the health of Turkmenistan’s younger generation, especially children with disabilities, and ensuring the full protection of their rights, remain at the center of the State’s attention. This creates a solid foundation for securing their bright future.

In her speech, UNICEF Representative in Turkmenistan, Jalpa Ratna, noted that cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNICEF in recent years has been active and effective. It was highlighted that Turkmenistan takes an active part in a number of internationally adopted documents related to the protection of children's rights and health.
