A briefing on preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries was held at the MFA of Turkmenistan
On July 18, 2025, a briefing on preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3) was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The briefing was attended by heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, as well as employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the briefing, it was noted that this large-scale event is intended to become an effective platform for promoting international cooperation for sustainable development.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R.Meredov noted the importance of the event, which takes place once every 10 years. It was noted that large-scale preparations are underway for the event, which will be attended by heads of state and governments of various countries, leaders and representatives of a number of international and regional structures, legislative bodies, financial institutions, public associations and the private sector.
In his speech, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan S.Muhammetdurdyev emphasized the importance of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, scheduled to be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone from August 5 to 8, 2025.
At the briefing, organizational and protocol issues were discussed, and proposals were made to strengthen the coordination of preparatory work.
