Possibilities for developing cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Chad were discussed

On August 9, 2025, a meeting was held in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza” between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and the Minister Delegate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Integration, International Cooperation, and Chadians Abroad of the Republic of Chad Ms. Fatimé Aldjineh Garfa.

During the meeting, turkmen side expressed gratitude to the delegation of the Republic of Chad for participating in the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3). The sides noted the importance of this event in the context of promoting cooperation between countries and sustainable development.

The diplomats emphasized the potential for developing bilateral relations in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities for delegations from two countries to participate in the events organized by Turkmenistan and the Republic of Chad during this year.

In this context, the importance of the International Forum of Peace and Trust, scheduled to be held in Ashgabat in December of current year in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, was emphasized.

In turn, Ms. Garfa invited the Turkmen side to consider the possibility of Turkmenistan’s representatives participating in events within the framework of the Chad Connection 2030 project.

The sides agreed to continue joint work on the development of Turkmen-Chadian relations in all areas, having mutual interest.
