The President of Turkmenistan received the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation

On October 13, 2025, the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, received the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Marat Khusnullin.

Thanking the head of state for the meeting, Mr. Khusnullin noted that Russia highly values its strategic partnership with Turkmenistan. He conveyed warm greetings from President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin to the President of Turkmenistan, as well as to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag. The guest also noted that he was deeply impressed by Turkmenistan's achievements in the socio-economic sphere and the rich history and culture of the Turkmen people.

Warmly welcoming the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed his greetings and best wishes to the leadership of the Russian Federation. He noted the importance of the current visit of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation in maintaining regular intergovernmental dialogue between the two countries.

The head of state wished Mr. Khusnullin fruitful negotiations with his Turkmen colleagues and the successful holding of the next meeting of the Turkmen-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the results of the upcoming meetings would give new impetus to the promotion of mutually beneficial bilateral relations.

It was noted that Turkmenistan attaches particular importance to strengthening its strategic partnership with the Russian Federation. Inter-state relations, based on the principles of friendship, trust, and equality, are developing successfully in all areas.

The meeting also emphasized that Turkmen-Russian cooperation is developing effectively in bilateral and multilateral formats, as evidenced by constructive interaction within the UN and the CIS.

In this context, the importance of the Central Asia-Russia partnership was noted.

The sides also discussed trade and economic ties and cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, confirming the readiness of both countries to further strengthen friendly inter-state dialogue, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin exchanged best wishes.
