A ceremony to present state awards on the oссasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Neutrality held at the MFA of Turkmenistan
On February 10, 2026, a solemn ceremony was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan to award representatives of international organizations with the jubilee medals «Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 30 ýyllygyna» (“To the 30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan's Neutrality”).
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov read out the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan on awarding foreign citizens the the jubilee medal «Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 30 ýyllygyna» and a commemorative silver badge, and in a ceremonial atmosphere presented the awards to representatives of international organizations.
The Permanent Coordinator of the United Nations in Turkmenistan Dmitry Shlapachenko, and the Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Turkmenistan Narine Sahakyan, were awarded high state awards.
Addressing the participants of the ceremony, the Minister noted that the country's policy of permanent neutrality has gained international recognition thanks to the concrete and purposeful diplomatic efforts of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
It was emphasized that Turkmenistan, based on its status of permanent neutrality, is consistently expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with countries around the world and major international organizations, as well as implementing joint projects in various fields.
In this context, special mention is made of the achievements and contributions of foreign citizens who, together with their Turkmen compatriots, are making a significant contribution to strengthening Turkmenistan's independence and permanent neutrality, developing international partnerships, and promoting a policy of international peace and trust on the world stage.
