Meeting via videoconference with the Head of the WHO Country Office in Ashgabat

On 10 February 2026, a videoconference meeting was held between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova, the Head of the Country Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Ashgabat Yegor Zaitsev, and the Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan Azat Ovezov.

During the talks, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the WHO in priority areas of interaction.

Particular attention was devoted to the preparation for the High-Level Dialogue on Global Health Diplomacy, scheduled to be held in February of the current year in Turkmenistan.

Following the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening the partnership and expressed readiness to advance the practical implementation of joint initiatives and projects in the field of healthcare.
