Further cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Nations discussed

On September 11, 2026, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova and UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan Xiaojun Grace Wang.

During the meeting, the sides reviewed key issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Nations system, with particular attention paid to the practical implementation of joint programmes and initiatives.

The prospective areas of joint work, as well as current issues on the regional and international agenda were viewed at the meeting. The sides also discussed issues related to the preparation and organization of upcoming high-level events.

Following the meeting, the sides expressed their interest in continuing close cooperation and further expanding collaboration between Turkmenistan and the United Nations.
